Air Max 1 ‘Master’ | Girl on Air

Maybe some of you have already seen the banner on the site change (if so; you’re sharp!). But my next ‘Girl on Air’ post is all about the Air Max 1 ‘Master’. Grails on grails on grails! This Air Max is a celebration of AM grails. Nike asked the Masters of Air about their favorite Air Max grails and created this patchwork-like shoe. My heart skipped a beat when they came in last week. Such a pretty shoe; leather lining, great materials, waaay better shape and the patchwork looks so smooth!

So when creating a concept for a editorial for this AM1 I thought about showcasing all these beautiful pairs that are used in that shoe. So I teamed up with the lovely Rosan Pelt and asked her to illustrate some of my favorite shoes from the list and we came up with the idea to use some GIF’s to. Because; *hearteyes* GIF’s! Curious if you recognize all the grails we used for these illustrations? Also for the outfits. I think theres a million ways to wear these Air Max 1 ‘Masters’.. which I wanted to show in this Lookbook kind of editorial. Since theres so many different colors on there which you can wear with pretty much everything. And -shocker- I’m very much into bright colors lately. I’ve been wearing nothing but black/grey/white and dark blue for ages but I went wild for this shoot and wearing color does wonders for my mood!
