Where most sneaker-collabs are still focussed on men nowadays there are a few brands/companies which are focussing more on us girls. Which I find really dope! I got quite an easy size (6,5US) which allows me to wear both mens and womens releases. But for the sneaker-collecting girls out there with a smaller size it can be very hard or even impossible sometimes to get their hands on some special releases.
Danish sportsbrand Hummel teamed up with Japanese sneaker-heavy weight Atmos & Japanese minimalistic fashion brand Mila Owen for a girls only collab featuring the Marathona. Hummel’s classic running silhouette, the Marathona, was first released back in 1983. This collab is a mix between classic Danish design and the Japanese minimalistic style of Mila Owen. With some good details such as the classic gumsole, imprinted leather on the back, stitched Mila owen logo on the heel and even some branding on the lacetips. Gotta love those details!
This collab released at Atmos on August 29th and the European release (veeery limited) was last friday (18/9)!
They are available at Sunika & Baskets in Amsterdam and only a handfull of selected retailers in Europe.
