The last 2 weeks have been crazy. Crazy fun but also crazy exhausting! First Berlin with ASICS on Wednesday and Thursday and after Berlin the preparations for Paris started. Getting everything together for the editorial we were gonna shoot before we left for Paris on Monday. Hectic! From the moment Morgan and I arrived till the moment we left Paris we’ve been rushing. I can Barely keep my eyes open while I’m prepping this post. But I’m giving you guys a quick recap of my Paris trip including some tips and hotspots, of course!
Arriving on monday afternoon we first went to drop our stuff at our hotel. We stayed at the KUBE hotel, which is a superchill modern 4 star hotel in the 12th arrondissement (walking distance from Gare du Nord and just a 5 min away from metro station ‘La Chapelle’). I wish we had more time to discover this dope hotel (they have an ICEBAR!!) but maybe next time. The bathtub was sooooo chill tho!
So after dropping our stuff we went to le Marais. Went to visit NikeLab and met up with Kevin (the photographer for the editorial) after I got myself some new babies (on the blog later this week). Went for a drink and made a planning for the shoot. Then it was of course time for dinner. We met up with a few of my favourite french people (Selma, Coline & Yoann) for burgers at PNY Burgers (Paris New York). Seriously one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Not to start about the loaded fries.. looorrrrdielord! Some more drinks and desert later we went back to the hotel to get some much needed rest before shooting on Tuesday.
On Tuesday we started super early & finished super late! It was a long ass day but in the end it’s gonna be so so worth it, cause I can’t wait to show you guys this editorial! After shooting all day we really deserved some GOOD food and drinks. So we made a reservation at La Favorite and went for a SUPER delicious 3 course dinner and epic cocktails. After the second course we literally collapsed and asked if we could take-away the desert. Ending up eating our desert (lemon pie YAS) in the bathtub back at the hotel, haha!
Wednesday; Another early alarm because we still had 1 more place to visit for the shoot (but also just for fun). We went to Hoops Factory! A huge indoor basketball spot that just opened a few weeks ago. After shooting some pictures and hoops it was time to head back to the hotel and pack our stuff. Quickly meet up with Coline to return some stuff we borrowed for the shoot, a very quick visit to the recently opened SneakersnStuff and then back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and hurry to get our train. Which was quite the struggle; running, slipping, falling, hurting my knee bigtime, get back up and run again. The moment we entered the train the doors closed behind us.. If we would’ve been a minute later we would’ve missed the train.
So here I am. Back home with a knee which is twice as big as normal and has colored 50 shades of blue and purple, a giant blister on my heel and still a big ass smile on my face. This trip was hard work, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
