Welcome to the new ‘Girl on Kicks’! After a year of blogging on my beloved wordpress blog, it’s time for the next step..
I’m not gonna go all sentimental on you guys (cause trust me; I am!) but starting this blog has given me so many new ideas, energy and inspiration. I met so many new people and it got my creativity running marathons again! And it means the world to me that you keep on visiting my blog. All your positive vibes keep me going and motivated me to create something more than just a personal style blog! No worries; I’ll keep the kicks, outfits, moodboards & inspiration posts coming. But there will be new items as well! I teamed up with several awesome creatives to do a monthly item on the blog and interviews with other sneaker loving human beings are coming on a monthly base as well! I’m aiming to build a creative sneaker/streetwear platform on this new site. I’m not gonna spill too much about that yet, but you will see soon enough!
On the occasion of the New website Sekan & Rome Le’vant made this awesome Mixtape named ‘Girl on Kixtape’. 45 minutes of good, easy listening songs. Including some of my favorite songs from Banks, FKA twigs, Q-tip, Chet Faker, Janet Jackson, Jurassic 5, Spooky black, a Tribe Called Quest and many more (plus some sneaker-talk is involved as well!). This mixtape is available for FREE download here, and of course you can play it on repeat on Soundcloud. It’s been on repeat on my iphone for weeks already! Now that’s what I call a good start of the day 🙂
For now, Let’s get ready to party.. I’m hosting a Party at No Boys Allowed tonight to celebrate the start of a new chapter in the life of ‘Girl on Kicks’. Drinks, Snacks, Music, a little preview of the colaborations I’m doing & a good crowd of people! Don’t hasitate to swing by for a drink or 2!
