Most of you have probably seen my Instagram or Facebook and know that I travelled to Milan for a special event from Sunday till Tuesday. Nike invited me to join the relaunch of the AM97! And if you know me you prob know that the AM97 is one of my favorite sneakers ever, so imagine how happy I was when I got the invite. Arrived there on Sunday evening. After dropping off our stuff at the hotel we went for a romantic dinner, then went for pasta at another restaurant and did a tiramisu take out which I ate while chilling in the bathtub at my hotelroom, haha!
On Monday morning the rest of the group arrived and we did a guided tour through Milan with visits to some stores (like one of my favorites ‘One Block Down’) lunch and the prettiest museum I’ve seen in a while; Fondazione Prada. Where they have pink velvet walls and a Wes Anderson cafe! Then quick fresh up at the hotel, where I found THE best surprise on my bed; A pair of the Silver bullet AM97’s which are set to release on the 14th of dec, before the party started which was a huuuge party with a vintage AM97 expo, a beat battle and a Skepta performance. After the party was the afterparty and after the afterparty there was bed.
Very VERY early wakeup (went to bed at 3 and alarm was at 6.30) on Tuesday because I was being picked up by Silvia (remember her from the Quick 5?) to go the the Stone Island (!!!) sample sale where I scored the prettiest coat ever in the history is coats. Then the lovely Silvia & her mister Vincenzo showed me the best places in Milan such as Slam Jam, NikeLab, 10 corso como (there was a very awesome expo of Araki Nobuyoshi) and much more. Then a quick Pizza for late lunch; because when in Italy you eat pizza. Then it was already time to catch my flight back.. Milan has been so good to me and I’ll definitely be back soon to spend more time and eat more tiramisu.
